Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ShellSelf (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Description of Service
ShellSelf is a terminal-styled portfolio builder that lets you create and host a developer portfolio with a CLI-inspired interface. The Service includes account creation, profile editing, theme customization, and optional paid features.
Accounts and Authentication
Account creation and authentication are powered by Supabase. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and notify us of any unauthorized use.
Payments and Subscriptions
Paid features and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you agree to Stripe’s payment terms. Fees are charged as described at the time of purchase. Refund and cancellation policies are as stated on the Service or in your subscription confirmation. We may change prices with notice; continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
Acceptable Use
You may not use the Service to violate any law, infringe others’ rights, distribute malware, spam, or harmful content, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to our or others’ systems. We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that we determine violates these terms or is harmful to the Service or others.
Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of content you create and submit. By using the Service, you grant us a license to host, display, and operate that content in connection with the Service. ShellSelf’s name, branding, and the Service’s design and code (other than your content) remain our intellectual property.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account or access if you breach these terms or for other operational or legal reasons. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. We may retain or delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShellSelf and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or use, arising from or related to the Service or these terms. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ShellSelf operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will post the updated terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes may be communicated by email or in-product notice where appropriate.
